Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a frequent disorder which is characterized by problematic behaviours that affect both motor and cognitive functions. ADHD is often accompanied by disorders of the sleep-wake cycle, fatigue, and emotional disorders. Symptoms in children and adolescents can be observed at different levels, i.e. school, home, and outside of school. In this paper the authors describe the symptoms of ADHD and focus on the neurobiology of the disorder, its treatment and diagnostics, the influence of the different types of treatment on the development of the child, and the impact on the family. The authors also give some practical advice concerning the everyday management of ADHD in children and adolescents. the case that these folks were going to show up in person, even if they had no intention of purchasing anything. We handled it extremely well for the best outcome.
